It is an honor to work with a group of such talented professionals that help me become a better engineer every day.

Tim is a geotechnical field technician based in our Boston office. In his role, Tim spends much of his time on active construction sites across Massachusetts and beyond, where he monitors geotechnical work and ensures that projects meet design specifications. He regularly conducts field soil tests, tracks construction progress, and serves as a key point of communication between GeoEngineers and contractors in the field.

Tim believes that strong communication is one of the most important aspects of his job. “Construction projects have many moving parts with many different people involved,” he explains. “It’s my responsibility to keep my company, general contractors, and sub-contractors all on the same page and up to date.”

Tim earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in the spring of 2025. Prior to joining GeoEngineers full-time, he interned at a geotechnical firm in Maryland, gaining early experience in the field. Looking ahead, Tim hopes to transition into a staff engineering role and eventually return to school to pursue a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering.

His decision to pursue this career was shaped by a love of both construction and the outdoors. “I love designing and building things, and I love being outside,” Tim says. “This career path has a little bit of all of those.”

Outside the office, Tim spends as much of his free time outdoors as possible—golfing, fishing, boating, or just relaxing on the back deck with friends, music, and a few cold drinks. “The sun heals,” he says.
