Expertise
Aria is a staff environmental scientist based in GeoEngineers’ Tacoma office. In her role, she conducts site assessments, collects and analyzes environmental data, and helps guide projects through permitting and compliance. Whether she’s in the field or collaborating with clients and agencies, Aria’s work helps ensure development projects are effective and environmentally responsible.
“My regulatory insight and permitting experience, combined with my passion for fieldwork, allows me to work on a project from the data collection and assessment stage all the way through to permitting and regulatory compliance,” she explains.
Aria’s passion for environmental science began early and guided her through her education and career choices.
“I’ve always had a passion for exploring, understanding, and protecting the environment,” she says. “When I realized I could combine these things into a career, I pursued environmental science and biology in college—and I’ve loved being able to create actionable change through my work.”
Before joining GeoEngineers, Aria gained experience at both the state and federal levels. She supported environmental monitoring and permitting programs and worked on greenhouse gas mitigation projects—experience that now supplements her work daily.
Looking ahead, Aria hopes to continue growing her role at GeoEngineers by combining her education and field experience in projects that align with her values.
“I want to stay hands-on and keep working on efforts that support environmental protection,” she says.
Outside of work, Aria enjoys spending time outdoors biking, hiking, and swimming in the Puget Sound or nearby lakes. She’s also a self-proclaimed foodie and loves discovering new restaurants with friends and family.
