Bob manages pipeline and other energy projects for GeoEngineers, a responsibility that requires close coordination with construction contractors and the experience that comes from years spent on project sites.
As a veteran of the oil and gas industry, Bob has just about seen it all. He worked his way up from drilling rig roughneck on the midwestern plains to welder helper, pipefitter helper, chief estimator, and eventually project manager in Odessa, Texas for major energy infrastructure construction contractors. Bob’s career eventually brought him to the Northwest Pipeline as Engineering and Construction Manager for the midstream business unit, where he oversaw the expansion of gas gathering, treating and processing facilities.
Bob worked with GeoEngineers on several occasions and was impressed with our capabilities, integrity and professionalism.
“I wanted to be part of that and apply my experience and skill set to expand GeoEngineers’ ability to better serve our new and existing clients with development of energy transportation infrastructure,” Bob says.
Thanks to his years of experience, Bob is a tremendous resource when it comes to pipeline engineering, construction, facility design, operation and regulatory requirements—including both FERC-regulated and non-regulated midstream environments. His expansion work for Williams Northwest Pipeline and Northwest Natural Gas in the Pacific Northwest also gave him experience with specialized pipeline construction techniques for challenging mountainous terrain.
When Bob’s not working on a pipeline somewhere, you might find him enjoying the same mountainous terrain in his spare time. He’s a sportsman who enjoys salmon fishing and upland game hunting.
